Early Portuguese navigators were
reputedly the first people known to have sailed around the Cape of Good
Hope in the late 1600s. Your journey begins here – at the Mt.
Nelson Hotel in the charming city of Cape Town, South Africa’s
oldest settlement. Drive into the wine country and stay at one of the
most distinguished vineyards in Stellenbosch to attend a wine tasting.
At the Kruger National Park, you
stay at the luxurious MalaMala Lodge and go on safari to see the
"Big Five" jungle animals (lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and
leopard). You board the renowned Rovos Train and travel in
ultimate style and comfort, reminiscent of the golden age of railroads.
Upon your arrival at the Chobe
National Park in Botswana, check into the world-class Chobe Game
Lodge and join game drives to watch hippos and elephants as they
come to the river in their native habitat. You have an excellent chance
to see lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and zebras as well. Continue on to
Zimbabwe where the powerful Zambezi River forms the world’s largest
sheet of falling water at Victoria Falls.
