Ashby & Sterling (on its deluxe tours) usually travels with only 10-12 guests - but never more than 20.

You are not part of the shuffle at buffets and there is no need to line up in hotel lobbies to wait for your room key. Within a small group, you can always hear everything your guide says in a museum; and your tour manager will always give you the personal attention you deserve. You gain access to hotels, restaurants, and events that are usually not available to larger groups.

When you look over our itineraries, you realize that you have time to unwind and sightseeing. On your Private Journey, you are not awakened at the crack of dawn, and you are not rushed.

  TRUST FUND SECURITY

To guarantee full financial protection and security, all funds received are voluntarily placed into a specially established Trust Account at Key Bank, Kennebunk, Maine, 04043, USA, and used solely for services you receive, such as hotels, meals and transportation.

  AIRPORT TRANSFERS BY PRIVATE CAR

On your Private Journey, there is no waiting at the airport; your arrival and departure transfers are by private car.

  PARTIAL TOUR

Should you, because of limited time or for destinations you have visited before, prefer a shorter tour, please contact us; special arrangements (and a corresponding adjustment in cost) will be made.

  ALL INCLUSIVE

No "optional" excursions, no hidden "extras" on our deluxe tours. Cocktail parties, gourmet dinners in the finest restaurants, highlight events like ballooning and opera visits are all included at no extra cost. All gratuities (also for the tour manager) for the trip are included.

  TRANSPORTATION

Always the most comfortable and best available: Rovos Rail in Africa, Eastern & Oriental Express in Southeast Asia, Cruise ships like "The Road to Mandalay" in Burma, M/S Paul Gauguin in Tahiti.

Motorcoaches are always air-conditioned and, for your comfort, at least half the seats remain empty.

A number of our trips can be easily combined. You not only save time and air-ticket cost, but we also reduce your total land price by $ 400 per person. We will be happy to make all required arrangements.

By calling Ashby & Sterling directly, any questions you have about all aspects of your trip will be promptly and accurately answered. We know the destinations and the details and requirements of each of our trips. We will be happy to answer any question you might have regarding flights, passports, inoculations, visa requirements, etc. And, if you wish, we will make these arrangements for you.

  TAILOR-MADE, INDEPENDENT TRAVEL

If you cannot find the destination of your preference, or our departure dates do not suit your schedule, a trip to anywhere in the world can be arranged to fit your request. We will be happy to suggest hotels and restaurants, advise what to see and do. These arrangements can be made for any group of family members or friends, clubs or companies - from 2 to 100 people.

  TRAVEL INSURANCE

Tour cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. In the event you are forced to cancel your trip close to departure date, you might lose the full cost of the tour. Contact us and we will recommend policies which protect you in the event of trip cancellation, - interruption & delay, emergency medical & dental, evacuation & repatriation, accidental death, baggage loss & delay, 24-hour travel assistance service, emergency medical profile).

  LUGGAGE   

On your Private Journey, you may take two suitcases per person (one suitcase on first class tours). Porterage is included throughout the tour. Airlines will charge for weight exceeding 44 lbs. (excluding hand luggage)
